@NjemCollection opened our eyes to the power of spaces that spin stories. With such a large home that has 3 separate cabins, they did a wonderful job creating cozy nooks for guests to come together and spend quality time.
Designing your space with the experience you want your guests to have is essential. Njem Retreat did a great job at this! Think their fire pit—where tales and giggles mingle; and their dining table where guests immerse themselves in delicious food, and quality time. We LOVED gathering for meals everyday around the covered outdoor dining table. On a beautiful summer evening at sunset, we set up the children downstairs in the arcade cabin for a movie night with popcorn made in the provided popcorn machine while the adults had a celebratory dinner party upstairs! Arranging your space with safe, separate, yet nearby spaces for children to enjoy themselves while adults vacation is a sure recipe for happy guests!
To add to the experience, Njem Retreat included small special touches to encourage guests to connect with these spaces; including a s’mores kit with marshmallows, gram crackers, chocolate, and marshmallow roasting sticks! They also stocked the kitchen with pasta, sauce, and essentials like olive oil and spices to inspire a homecooked meal. Adding these small touches show guests that you are truly thinking of them, and it guides them to having the experience you envisioned for them when designing and decorating your home.
Think Outside the Box
Every good Airbnb house has one thing in common: they take inspiration from their environment and bring it into both the décor and feel of the house itself as well as the experiences for the guests. The environment is an expansion of the home itself, and more than likely, it is what draws your guests to book your listing in the first place!
