Our Story

To us, to 'simplify' does not mean to minimize: it means to maximize. By maximizing our valued time, energy, and resources, we have been able to simplify our life, and we want to simplify yours too.

What's our story?

We are a small family who live in a small town. We lived in a tiny home for 6 months together before moving into a standard sized home to accommodate our growing family. When we first moved in, from tiny house to "big" house, friends would come over and say "Wow! Your house is so minimalist, I love it!"

Yet, the truth was, we simply didn't have many things. We wanted more, but we were very intentional about bringing items into our home. Instead of buying temporary pieces of furniture or kitchen supplies, we waited until we found the perfect item, for the best deal. One that we would love and cherish and not have to replace later. This mentality lead us to having a home that is filled with only things we love, use, and add an element of either beauty or practicality to our lives (or both!).

The truth is, if we had more money, we would buy the best of what our money could buy. We are not minimalists. We are intentional maximalists, and we are visionaries.

Our dream was to create family business that allowed us to maximize our time and resources. Allowing us to work smarter, not harder. Allowing us to spend more time together, while still being able to afford the luxuries that add value and beauty to our lives.

These beliefs and desires led us right back to where we started, our tiny home. And honestly, we did not know where it would take us.

We built a tiny home, literally in our driveway, with the goal of simplifying our lives. We felt that this tiny home would somehow be our way out of 9-5 jobs, living paycheck to paycheck, and not having the disposable income to really enjoy life together.

What we ended up falling into was the short term rental vacation market. After our tiny home was finished and parked in our driveway, we thought, "now what do we do with it?" We wanted to show it to some people, maybe sell it, maybe get investors to go in on a business with us building them for others, or maybe just keep it as a guest house. We thought "let's just list it on AirBNB for now until we figure out what to do with it!"

We were shocked to find that our simple tiny home began attracting visitors from all over the states!

This small lifestyle experiment lead us to big life changes. Now, we want to do more than just build tiny homes. We want to share with others how their visions can become reality; how their dreams that others would view as too risky or too "out-there" can become life-changing.

Tiny homes are a small step into a big world of opportunities, options, freedom, and fulfillment.

We believe the tiny home movement gives you the freedom to live the life you have always dreamed of; whether you are living in your tiny home, traveling in it, or renting it out. The tiny home movement redefines the American dream; no longer are the days of "Go Big, or Go Home" as the era of "Simple Living, High Thinking" is upon us.

Free up your life for the things that really matter.

Simplify Further.
